I attended one of their talks at Pomona College last week (I think it was last week–the time kind of runs together around here).
Really interesting–the purpose is to break down stereotypes and gender norms in men that perpetuate violence against women.
One of the founders, Tony Porter, has a TED Talk on the website. It’s really intense.
He does sort of perpetuate some gender norms in his talks and stuff, but the organization is unique because it specifically asks men to stop 1, committing violence and 2, allowing other guys to stay and do stuff that create a social structure that allow these things to continue at the scale that they do.
Enjoy,
Annie
